LEWISBURG, Tenn. — International Comfort Products (ICP) set the standard for excellence this year by testing 230 technical service advisors (TSAs) for North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification at the recent ICP national TSA meeting in Biloxi, Miss.

ICP technical service advisors are factory-trained distributor employees who are designated to provide local technical and troubleshooting support for Heil, Tempstar, Comfortmaker, Arcoaire, and KeepRite brand products. The 230 TSAs took a total of 477 tests, including 204 core and 273 specialty NATE certification tests.

Tom Hughes, manager of the TSA program, said ICP encourages all TSAs to earn NATE certifications.

“We offered TSA training because we want to show ICP’s dedication to excellence,” Hughes said. “ICP puts a lot of emphasis on using NATE as an industry standard for technical excellence, and we want to support TSA involvement in industry-leading programs like NATE.”

ICP provided training at the TSA meeting for the certification tests, including specialty training for heat pump, airflow, and gas furnace certification.
